Adding Menu Items
Menu items are the foundation of your menus. Create them once in your item library, then reuse them across multiple menus.
Understanding the Item Library
Your item library is a centralized collection of all dishes, drinks, and other offerings. Each item can include:
- Name - The dish name
- Description - Appetizing description of the item
- Base Price - The standard price
- Category - For organization (Appetizers, Entrees, etc.)
- Image - Optional photo of the dish
Creating Categories First
Before adding items, it helps to set up your categories:
- Go to your restaurant dashboard
- Click on Menu Items in the sidebar
- Click Manage Categories
- Add categories like "Appetizers", "Entrees", "Desserts", etc.
